Books

You can (and perhaps should) read a book or two if you are writing a history EE. If you are writing a literature EE, you will need to read the text(s) you are investigating.

Interview

Try and conduct an interview or two. Reach out to the author of your book (if it is possible to do so). Contact local university professors who are experts in their fields.
